1. Academic Success

BGCSA’s core focus is on academic success, and thus Power Hour (or 60 minutes of homework help each day) is the cornerstone of the education programming.  Design Squad Global, Reading Eggs, and other programs compliment the homework help and tutoring the Club offers.

2. Healthy Lifestyles

Soccer, basketball and netball provide Club Members with the opportunity to develop fitness, a positive use of leisure time, reduction of stress, appreciation for the environment and social and interpersonal skills.  Our Arts & Culture programs are also flourishing with drama and dance extremely popular.

3. Character & Leadership

BGCSA runs the Youth of the Year Program, helping young people become responsible, caring citizens and acquire skills for participating in the democratic process is the main thrust of these programs. Club activities also develop leadership skills and provide opportunities for planning, decision-making, contributing to the Club and community and celebrating the diverse, national heritage of South Africa.
